Stairlift in Laois- Simplicity Plus Stairlift in Mountmellick

A new stairlift in Laois has been installed to help a customer who has vertigo and arthritis. The client added a Simplicity Plus stairlift to her home because she was finding it difficult to climb the stairs with her medical conditions. This new daily living aid will increase the number of times the customer can ascend and descend the stairs during her time at home with fewer pains and peace of mind.

The customer had researched different companies, both locally and nationally that could fit a stairlift which suited her needs of being discrete while also completing the task in hand. They called our customer service team for more information on our stairlift process. We put her in touch with the area representative for Laois, Enda, who arranged a suitable time to visit her at her home. Enda called out to her home and completed a free no obligation survey on the stairs. Enda compiled a photographic survey system which maximises the accuracy of the staircase using cards. The cards are placed on the staircase and our specialist software measures the images Enda takes and creates a 3D model of your staircase so the stairlift is designed to fit perfectly.

The Handicare Simplicity Plus is suitable to both straight and curved staircases and the heavy-duty track caters for a weight capacity of up to 19st. This stylish stairlift comes in three colours, a light grey, gunmetal or brown with a sand coloured, wipe clean seat. It has a powered seat which will turn for you and help you into a standing position. When the stairlift is not in use, the seat and footrest can be folded up to make it discrete for others to access the stairs. The Simplicity Plus stairlift comes with a pair of remote controls to allow the chair to be parked at either the top or the bottom of the stairs and you can move it to your desired level which is convenient for multiple users. This stairlift also comes with a safety feature for obstacles meaning if it meets an obstruction on the stairs, it will automatically stop until the obstacle is removed.

Once the customer was happy to proceed with the function and design of the stairlift that Enda had put together, we arranged a date that was of convenience for our experienced stairlift fitters to call to the home in Mountmellick and install the stairlift. The straight stairlift installations take less than a few hours and once it was completed, the installation team demonstrated how the stairlift works, what the buttons on the remote are for and how to manually fold the stairlift to keep the stairs free for others to use.

Our customer has since expressed extreme gratitude to our installer for his high level of work and cleanliness when fitting the stairlift. They also complimented the customer service they received from our office staff and our Area Representative, Enda.
