Every Handicare stairlift is manufactured and tested to the highest standards. In the unlikely event of a fault or breakdown, we are on hand to assist you.  All our stairlifts come with a fully comprehensive warranty.

We support all our stairlifts for labour and parts, even when your warranty expires. We will first try to assist you over the phone to discover the issue. It may be only something small that can be rectified by talking with our support team.

Should the engineer need to visit your home to fix the repair we will ensure that it is done as soon as possible because our priority is to get your stairlift back in working order. 

Please note, labour and parts charges apply outside of warranty.

Troubleshooting guide

BEFORE you call please check the following:

  • Is the key switched on?
  • Is the main on/off switch on?
  • Are the arms down?
  • Check the emergency red button (if applicable)
  • Is the seat in travel position?

If possible, please take note of the fault code showing up on your stairlift or any warning sounds or lights – this will help our engineers identify the issue.
