Stairlift In Offaly. February 2019

We recently fitted a very vital stairlift in Offaly that came with extra importance for the user who has been living downstairs in her house since taking ill last year. The stairlift allowed her to move back upstairs and see the top level of her house which she hasn’t seen since April 2018. The customer was delighted to finally be able to go between floors again and we are delighted to have been a part in making this possible for her.

The customer’s daughter was in touch with our in-office customer service team looking for information about the different styles of stairlifts we provide and how we go through the process from start to finish.  After sending them out a free stairlift brochure and information pack, we then put them in contact with Enda, the sales rep for the Offaly area, got in contact and arranged to call to the house in Kinnity for a free, no obligation assessment of the stairs. They had many needs they wanted their new stairlift to meet. One of the needs would be because of the mobility issues the customer now faces, it made sense to get the powered swivel seat that would give her extra assistance when getting on/off the chair of the lift. Because their stairs are straight, without any bends or corners, the best option for them was the Handicare 2000 Simplicity Plus. This was one of the stairlifts that Enda recommended to them in the free assessment.

The Handicare Simplicity Plus is suitable to both straight and curved staircases and the heavy-duty track caters for a weight capacity of up to 19st. This stylish stairlift comes in three colours, a light grey, gunmetal or brown with a sand coloured, wipe clean seat. It has a powered seat which will turn for you and help you into a standing position. When the stairlift is not in use, the seat and footrest can be folded up to make it discrete for others to access the stairs. The Simplicity Plus stairlift comes with a pair of remote controls to allow the chair to be parked at either the top or the bottom of the stairs and you can move it to your desired level which is convenient for multiple users. This stairlift also comes with a safety feature for obstacles meaning if it meets an obstruction on the stairs, it will automatically stop until the obstacle is removed.

The customer had shopped around for a stairlift that would suit their needs at an affordable price but also needed it to be slim to ensure other people could access the stairs when the stair lift was not in use.  They chose Beechfield Stairlifts due to our outstanding customer service and the expert advice and knowledge we offered regarding choosing the best stairlift for their needs. Once the customer decided to use us for the supply and fit of their stairlift in Kinnity, Enda put our skillful stair lift installation team on the case and they had the Simplicity Plus fitted in less than half a day. Once the stairlift was installed, they gave the customer a demonstration on how to use it. The customer expressed her happiness for the new stairlift that has enabled her mother to comfortably move back into her own room upstairs. The stairlift now aids the mother in her everyday task of going up and down the stairs.

All of us at Beechfield Healthcare are delighted to have been a part of reuniting this customer with the top level of her home and we are even more delighted that she is extremely pleased with her new stairlift and the new lease of life it has given to herself and the peace of mind it has given to her daughter that her mam can now take on the stairs by herself.
