Stairlift In Limerick. February 2019
We recently had the pleasure of installing a new stairlift in Limerick for a 90-year-old woman. Our customer sales representative, Robert, dealt with the customer who had fallen ill last year after suffering a stroke. Although she is fully mobile after her recovering, the stairlift was recommended by her children so she could use it if she felt unsteady, or if there was nobody else in the house with her; this is a perfect example of the benefit of having a stairlift in a home.
Our customer researched different companies that would be able to fit a stairlift in Limerick to suit their needs. When she contacted our sales team, we sent our local stairlift professional Robert over to her home for a free, no-obligation visit where he would explain the different stairlifts we supply and fit. Robert used his expertise and measured the curved stairs and then discussed the various options available. Because the customer is still mobile and can walk freely up and down the stairs, a discrete stairlift with a foldable seat and footrest was recommended, as it keeps the stairlift out of the way when she feels she doesn’t need assistance to climb the stairs. Robert had a quote ready for the client in less than 48hours and they decided to use us at Beechfield Stairlifts to supply and fit their stairlift. The clients chose the
Handicare 2000 as it suited their needs and fit their requirements of having a slimline track, which allowed others to use the stairs when the stairlift was not in use.
The
Handicare 2000 suitable to both straight and curved staircases and the heavy-duty track caters for a weight capacity of up to 19st. This stairlift comes in three colours, a light grey, gunmetal or brown with a sand coloured, wipe clean seat. It also has a manual swivel seat to allow the stairlift to bring you directly onto the landing level with a simple tug on a handle, however, it is also available in a powered seat which will turn for you and help you with standing up. The Handicare 2000 stairlift comes with a pair of remote controls to allow the chair to be parked at either the top or the bottom of the stairs and you can move it to your desired level which is convenient for multiple users. This stairlift also comes with a safety feature for obstacles. If it meets an obstruction on the stairs, it will automatically stop until the obstacle is removed.
The stairlift was custom made to suit the exact requirements of the stairs including the measurements and the curving. When the stairlift was ready to be installed, our installation team called to the home in Limerick and fitted the bespoke stairlift. Once the stairlift was fully fitted, our team then cleaned up the area they were working in. After the stairlift was installed to the steps of the stairs, our team member then showed the customer and the daughter how to use the stairlift in the correct way, and how to manually swivel the seat and fold the footrest. The customers were delighted with the service they received from the start of the process with our in-office sales team and from Robert and our installation team.
