Two New Stairlifts in Dundalk Home

Double stairlifts in Dundalk

Our installation took a packed delivery last week to complete a double installation of two curved stairlifts in Dundalk. This home has two separate stairs and the home owner needed the addition of stairlifts to help him reach the different areas of his home. The customer opted for the two inside stairlifts rather than deface the outside of his home which is over 200 years old.

This client originally got in touch through our customer service team who directed him to the Dundalk area representative, Enda. Like all our stairlift queries, our area rep called to the home to meet the client, understand their requirements and to assess the stairs. Once Enda gathered all the information he needed, he carried out a free no obligation assessment to provide the client with a quote. During the assessment, Enda uses a camera and 3D technology to capture the angles of the stairs and the length of the staircase. This allows Enda to show the client what a stairlift would look like on the stairs. Enda then discussed the different styles of curved stairlifts available to the customer which would also meet his requirements of needing two stairlifts in Dundalk.

To fit in with the stylish décor of the home, the client went for two Handicare Rembrandt stairlifts. Unlike other stairlifts, the Rembrandt stairlift is specifically designed to run on the internal side of the stairs, meaning it runs on the side of the bannister rather than the side of the wall. Once both of the Beechfield Stairlift engineers had cleaned their working spaces, they showed the son of the client, who was present on the day, how to use both stairlifts and the remote controls. They showed the client the function to each button on the remote and how to fold the seat and the footplate.

We recently installed a stairlift in Ballygall, Co. Dublin. The customer opted for a Simplicity Plus with all powered options. The Beechfield Area representative visited the house in North Dublin to find out what the customers’ needs were and to measure the size of the staircase area.

Our sales representative for the Ballygall area, Enda, was put in touch with the client after he rang our office looking for information about stairlifts. Enda called out to his home and assessed the stairs, he then spoke to the customer about his requirements and needs, to ensure the customer got the right stairlift. After this discussion, the client was recommended the Handicare Simplicity Plus with a powered chair and footrest.

The Handicare Simplicity Plus stairlift offers you all the functionality of a regular stairlift, with added durability from the extra sturdy track design. The remote powered swivel seat allows the user to face the landing in a progressive position rather than just facing the opposite wall of the stairs. The seat can also be folded up to make the stairlift more discreet when not in use. The foldable footrest can be controlled by the button underneath the armrests. The flame-retardant seat is easy-to-clean with its wipe able fabric. The sturdy track allows for a maximum weight capacity of 22st with a seat width of 460mm.

Once the customer was happy with the design and price, we scheduled a date with our installation team to visit the home and fit the stairlift in North Dublin. Our team installed the stanchions to the steps of the stairs, this ensures no damage to the walls, and then fitted the straight track. The installation of the Handicare Simplicity Plus was complete and ready to use within a few hours and our installation team then showed the family how to adjust the seat to suit the user. The Beechfield team member then gave a demonstration of how to use the stairlift controls. They showed them the function of each button on the controls, how to fold the powered seat and how to fold the powered footplate. After the demonstration was over, our team cleaned up the area where they were working, leaving it clean and tidy.

Another busy week for our stairlift team, this time they fitted a curved stairlift in Louth. The customer from Dundalk, Co. Louth, needed the stairlift to aid them in their ability to use their stairs. The Beechfield Stairlift Process begins with a phone call to our sales team, an assessment from our Area Representatives, they then receive a quote and if they then decide to go with Beechfield Healthcare, one of our installation team members will call out and install the stairlift. Our customer got in touch with our sales team over the phone they put them in contact with an Area Representative for Co. Louth, Enda O’Connor. Enda called to the home in Dundalk to have a quick chat with the customer and for a free assessment of their stairs. The customer will then receive a quote from the sales team and it’s up to their own personal decision if they want to follow through with Beechfield to fit their stairlift, which they did. Our customer in Louth chose the Handicare 2000 Simplicity because of its dual rail which provides extra stability when using it. They chose a styled seat with a foldable function that makes the stairlift more discrete. Their seat also as a swivel function so when it lands at the top/bottom of the stairs, it turns to the user into a better position and assist them getting off the stairlift. The discrete folodable function on the seat and footplate allows the stairs to be clear when being used by other people in the home. The remote-controlled lift comes with two controls which can be kept at separate ends of the stairs. The rails come in three standard colours of a light grey, gunmetal grey or brown with a neutral sand coloured seat that’s easy to clean. This customer chose a brown rail and a sand coloured seat. A big benefit of the Handicare 2000 Simplicity stairlift is the built-in safety feature for meeting obstacles on the stairs. If the stairlift meets an obstacle, it will automatically stop and not move again until the obstruction is removed. Once the customer was happy with the design and prices, we scheduled our team of stairlift installers to visit the home in Dundalk. The team began their installation by fitting stanchions to the steps of the stairs. The stanchions are attached to the steps to ensure there is no damage to the walls. The customised dual rails are then attached to the stanchions and will neatly follow the angles on the stairs. The stairlift installation was complete and ready to use within a few hours and once that was finished, the user sits on the seat and our installation team adjust the chair to suit the user. Our team member will then show the user how to correctly use the stairlift with the controls that come with the stairlift, they will also show them how the powered footplate and seat automatically fold once the user has left the seat. After all of this is complete, they will then clean up the area where they were working before leaving. Our stairlift installer PJ, fitted a stairlift in Tipperary two weeks ago. The stairlift allowed the user to ascend his stairs with ease and comfort. The customer was beginning to struggle with making his way up and down the stairs. So he got in touch to install a stairlift to help him using the stairs in his home in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. The customer was in touch with our sales team looking for information about the different styles of stairlifts we provide for straight stairs and how we go through the order from start to finish. We recently fitted a very vital stairlift in Offaly that came with extra importance for the user who has been living downstairs in her house since taking ill last year. We recently had the pleasure of installing a new stairlift in Limerick for a 90-year-old woman. Our customer sales representative, Robert, dealt with the customer who had fallen ill last year after suffering a stroke.
