CASE STUDY: CURVED STAIRLIFT INSTALLATION, SOUTH COUNTY DUBLIN. NOVEMBER 2018
We recently completed a curved stairlift installation in a period home in South County Dublin. The clients and their family had decided it was required due to one of the parents undergoing a recent hip replacement. After careful consideration, the clients decided upon a stairlift in favour of renovating the ground floor to add a bedroom and bathroom.
They contacted Beechfield Stairlifts after a recommendation from a neighbour and we sent our local stairlift advisor to their home to do a free no obligation assessment. He met with the couple and discussed the various options that were available and also gave them advice about local authority grants that may be available. They required a slim stairlift that would have minimal impact on the house and they also wanted a powered swivel as this would make exiting the chair far safer, especially after a hip replacement.
After going through the various options and styles available, they chose the Handicare 2000 Style Stairlift. The stairs were quite narrow with 7 turns in total but our stairlift experts were able to design a custom stairlift that not only met, but exceeded the clients expectations.
As you can see from the photo’s, the stairlift blended perfectly and gave them our customers the accessibility they required with minimal intrusion. The clients also loved the fact that they can send the stairlift up the stairs, so it’s out of the way and when it’s required, a click of the remote will bring it back down.
The clients were delighted with the professional service they received, from initial contact to the final installation, and the stairlift has helped to maintain their independence and stay in the home they love without having to undergo large renovations.
